Getting closer … Pippa found a lovely mud puddle today and seems in good spirits. She has to be watched carefully as she is showing nesting behaviour but otherwise her fun and cheeky self.

X-ray day! We can see 8 puppies! It’s possible there’s another one tucked in there but we’ll know for certain in a very short time.

Puppy room all ready!

(L) New vet bed in the whelping box and (R) weighing station set up with supplies of collars and supplementary feeding if necessary.

And now it’s ten days to go! Just had to correct previous posts where I gave the wrong day count. Pippa is developing into a rather beautiful pear shape!

Lake supervising duties. Looking bigger by the day! She will have a scan next week so we can estimate the number of puppies.

Pippa on her last holiday before becoming a mummy! It is also her 4th birthday.

Pippa is expecting! We are thrilled to announce that Pippa (Papoulab Astrea), one of Poppy’s daughters from her second pregnancy is expecting an all yellow litter of puppies, as confirmed by ultrasound. Due date is approximately 6 February.
